Along with pass of time, service facilities in all areas are becoming smart. The digital system has taken a huge leap in financial transactions as well. In the educational field, students, parents and the school, college itself have to perform numerous tasks and activities on a daily basis along with teaching, out of which critical task is taken as fee management. Generally, from the time a student is enrolled, the subject of fee comes into consideration till the end of their studies.

Taking these things into account, digital wallet “Khalti” and BIM Association of Nepal (BIMAN) are accompanied to commence with ‘Khalti-Digital Educational Service’. In this regard, an official partnership has been signed between the two organizations.

Massive parents are facing countless problems regarding fee management such as carrying bulk amount of cash with them, forced to take leave from job and wait in queue at banks, academic institution for hours just to pay fee. Ravins Pokharel, the enthusiastic Khalti Officer, says that beside problems faced by students, the academic administration are also struggling with these issues, where human resources need to be hired, hectic time, hassles, and due to hand-to-hand money transactions, there is a severe risk of disease transmission (for instance Covid-19), chances of note tearing and some fake money transactions which ultimately creates complication in any institution.

Niraj Karki, Business Head of the Khalti organization, said that to mitigate such problematic issues, Khalti will provide necessary digital service facilities in the educational sector. “We are assured that the way we have created the system for our digital school, college will have a 100 percent optimistic effect.”
